crashed week
Friday
watched Changeling with the dental folks (dennis, chuck, ws, bran+xx, stan+lulin, ll, rob and jr). Personally I enjoyed the show thoroughly. Thought it could have been better, but it was good. It was a slow paced movie and had a captivating plot based on a true story - The Wineville Chicken Coop Murders. Its about a serial killer who murdered 20+ children back in the 1920s
I went in with a little apprehension cos' I never had a good impression of Angelina Jolie. I pretty much felt that she was the third party of the Brad/Jen relationship...thus a homewrecker and sort of a hypocrite (cos she mentioned in an interview that she would not go for a married man)......Ultimately I placed my feelings aside and watched the movie impartially and found that Jolie did quite a good job portraying the role of a mother driven to confront a corrupted LAPD after her abducted son is returned because she suspects that the boy returned to her is not her son. You could feel for her character, her helplessness, her motherly instincts and her determination to get her son back.
Before the movie, Jolie 0 Aniston 1
After the movie, Jolie 1 Aniston 0
SaturdayAttended my nephew's first month celebration. Having a nephew is still quite a surreal feeling for me. The recent promotion to an uncle again brings me back to my current state of status quo.....27 years old this year....no girlfriend.....not getting married anytime soon and definitely no kids.......My brother did have a 4 years head start over me....so let's just see where would I be come 4 years from now
Everyone was happy and the baby probably oblivious to why are there so many people crowding around him that day....still as cute as a button though
Sunday
Met up with Aileen, fy and chuck for a lunch time dim sum buffet at Jade restaurant in Fullerton hotel. Just to do some catching up with Aileen who is now at a private practice and reminisce the lunch times we had at hpb.
