fast forward
Watched The Incredible Hulk last saturday
combination of Liv Tyler and Edward Norton is kinda weird.... I kept thinking Liv Tyler's just too big for Norton. But Norton proved again that he is an actor to be reckoned with......last scene was pretty hilarious seeing 2 green blobs fighting...
Watched Get Smart last wednesday
fraaaking hilarious......Steve Carell is the man.....his comedic timings were spot on and just plain funny. It felt like Michael Scott on an espionage mission.
Saturday was Sherin and Alvin's matrimony ceremony. It was actually my first time witnessing a City Harvest wedding ceremony. And God was truly there witnessing the joyous occasion....May God bless the happy couple abundantly......And Sherin, I am so going to miss you for the next 3 years......
Last week was pretty much my last week in HPB......though I had my downs there, I had some ups too. Treating kids is really a challenge. Treating kids dentally is an uphill battle. Kids are cute when you see them strolling along the pavements, playing with toys but boy put them in a dental setting, they become another creature from another zone.....
The ups would be the little creatures that I had transformed over the past few months (its really gratifying), working with the best bunch of people(Jing Jing, Tien Tien, Wanyi, Pauline, Aileen and the occasional mobilers) and the sporadic popiah laksa mini lunch parties planned by the nurses.
me and my little cubicle (no.24 again)
Fatimah, Susanna and Aishah
And Gavin DeGraw is one talent

The Happening

The Happening..... The Happening.....
a movie with so much promise...I went into the movie with so much anticipation despite reading the negative reviews (I usually never allow reviews to cloud my decision to watch a movie). This time the review was spot on.
Mark Wahlberg scored an Oscar nomination last year with The Departed. He sure ain't getting anything from this movie...The whole cast just bombed with the poor direction and weird acting. They just didn't seem to be connecting with the audience. Acting aside, the backbone of the movie was pretty original. M. Night Shyamalan was able to bring the suspense and thrill into this like all his other movies. Climax was reached but never expounded. While I was waiting for the big ending to come, it came. But it came with a big disappointment. If you thought Signs was bad with the alien ending, or The Village was bad with the there is no monster ending, I would sincerely challenge you to watch this to find out how anti climatic a movie ending can be.
All in all bashing aside, it makes a good popcorn movie, everything was decent until the ending where it mattered the most. M. Night Shyamalan is truly losing the reputation he is getting after the strings of flops and maybe becoming what we call a One Hit Wonder with The Sixth Sense.

an oldie but a goodie
I am back!!!
yippee!!
*dances ard the blogsphere*
kenny is old...old enough to have a girlfriend
old enough even to think and start preparing for marriage
old enough to start wanting to save some money for an apartment
But kenny is still single and swinging and getting a little worried....
I have a relationship experience of a 14 year old....heck I even think 14 year olds are dating at this current day and age. My biggest fear though I love Steve Carell to death is to be a 40 year old virgin...
anyways....back from the spur of the quarter life crisis moment,
I just came back from Phuket!!!
Great trip with an awesome bunch of people...
Everything was great even my awfully bad sunburn
The only bad thing was we ran out of money cos nobody accepts my visa!!!
