i can wish can i?
after service yesterday, we hopped back to acid bar again.....we inclusive of derek, qiuping and myself.....Michaela was there again serenading to us...and I threw something out to we minus me that Michaela would make an awesome wedding singer and I kind of want her to be my wedding singer in the future....listening to her everytime makes me feel so good....you know when people say chocolate releases several specific endorphins which I will not touched upon in this blog...I think she does that to me....lol....anyways she is really a big talent and I am really surprised she is still a lounge singer....So I have found myself a wedding a singer...now onto the search for a bride.......who's up for a date?

nic cage
with my short cropped hair now......my classmates are now calling me nicolas cage....well this nic cage association was with me in yr one and it kind of fizzled because I had like super bushy and long hair for the past 3 years and I decided to lob it off or more so my hairdresser...... oh well....case closed...time to get myself ready to see my patient.

a while
it has been a while....I know....not because I am lazy or anything...but my dumb desktop computer can't stop hanging on the blogger main site so right now I am on my laptop writing this note..
so I am 5 weeks in this 13 week term.....slightly about less than 2 months left before I say goodbye to clincs or so they say.....you really get to witness the drama and the desperation all the final year students are facing and its like a rat race....well some have already completed the race.....the fuel in me to want to graduate is burning inside of me and getting out of school is like the biggest motivation ever....
anyways not to bore anyone....but this is just the case...I am bored.....drained and exhausted but God will give me the strength to carry on......Truly God is good....
cheers

generation of really weird names
apparently Gen-Xs like me back in our generations have a certain standard in english names......You would probably have a Kelvin, Benjamin, Vincent or Victor as a male classmate. For your female counterparts, a Jessica, Jennifer, Christina, Cheryl or Kelly would be quite common.....
others honourable mentions: Stephanie, Timothy, Martin, Frank, Leon, Aaron
For the ones with better tastes, you see a Kenneth here and there or an Aloysius.....lol
Gen-Ys' names doesn't differ a lot from the Gen-Xs. Probably the only difference is that, they (or even their parents) like to have a unique twist in a normal name by spelling them differently .....
Lynda (Linda)
Kristina (Christina)
Meghan (Megan)
Brendan (Brandon)
Ashlee (Ashley)
Rachael (Rachel)
Terrence (Terence)
Derryck (Derek)
and this new generation with the influx of MTV and what have you, you got the likes of
(these are the names when you go say HUH like seriously) - basically this is the generation with parents having the habit of naming their child after their idol or them trying to find some weird sounding names with meanings only Greeks understand
Giselle Lim
Talicia Sim
Destiny Ong
Beckham Ng (Pan Lingling's son)
Chantelle Tan
Emilyn (Linlin's pt) hehe
Kimberlyn - What's wrong with Emily or Kimberly?
and these can be seen most common in celebrities' babies
Suri Cruise
Shoila (sp? I have no idea how you spell that) - Angelina Jolie's
Brayden (Zoe Tay's)
Apple Martin (Gwyneth Paltrow and Chris Martin)
Brooklyn and Romeo Beckham
I really want to put Dayan here but oh well....
and of course there will always be biblical names that stands out like
Barnabas
Ezekiel
Josiah
Delilah
Samson
Abraham
Micah
Jeremiah
Tabitha
For me my favourite will always be the Gen-Xs names.....full of originality(though not as original as the Gen-Zs) and something you know your kids won't hate you in the future for naming them that

holy matrimony
29/12/06 marks a big day in my family.......my eldest brother's marriage.....
The day was split to 2 halves.....morning was the tea ceremony at my house and I had to miss it because of school....that explains all the missing me in the below few photos.....and it was crazy with my father's and mother's extended family coming almost in full force.....I felt bad in a way though not being able to be there....
The second half is the 10 course dinner at Swissotel where Tyng Yuan and Kai Yang had their wedding too...what a big coincidence....I was roped in to be one of the emcees alongside Jasmine, my cousin in law (if there is such a term)....dentist jokes aside.....I think both us did a pretty good job...heh..though I was quite nervous as heck....Jasmine is the spontaneous type while I needed to be systematic...lol..
Met Prof Ho Kee Hai during the dinner.....he and his wife are apparently friends with my parents....darn....why can't I take my extraction competency under him....lol...
Once again congratulations Kelvin and Kim....on your way to Japan.....while I end this sentence....

better late than never
the transition from 2006 and 2007 was so hectic that I forgot to do a wrap up of my 2006
actually I am really a typical oaf....I really don't remember things and timeline very well.....I am bad at dates...terrible...terrible...I can't list stuff in chronological order too...so it is pretty hard actually for me to do a wrap up cos I get things mixed up between 2005 and 2006
let me start things retrospectively...
Arrrghhh..I can't do this.....
The only thing flashing in my mind is that I am still in school and I just want to get out of it come june this year......
