Soccerroos were robbed BUT

the italians deserved to win.

Haha....

I was watching the match in Kallang MacDonalds alongside Robin....he has been my world cup watching buddy for these past few weeks.....Going into the match I was expecting the australians to put up a decent fight.....and they did....But seriously, they really did not threaten the italian defence......throughout the match I told Robin that the italian defence is like a fortress and no one really had scored against them except for the unfortunate own goal.....bah......

when italy was down to 10 men, I was seriously thinking that it might end up in a penalty shootout cos Italy is not really known for their strikeforce and being down to 10 doesnt really help much in scoring.....I was sort of the lone supporter for Italy with a white shirt lady sitting in front cos apparently everyone was cheering when Materrazzi got sent off....buggers.....

then come 95 minutes....apparently it is 12 seconds before the final whistle according to New Paper.....you sure can trust them when it comes to soccer.....Italy was given a dubious penalty and Totti converted and I jumped and thrusted my fist up and shouted.....with my white shirt lady of course....lol....

Australians were robbed but they could not utilise the numerical advantage so....a pity........
Fabio Cannavaro and Gianluigi Buffon made sure of that.....so they are the italian heroes....not Totti...nor Grosso...haha..

anyway the following day we went to ECP macdonalds to watch Ghana vs Brazil and France vs Spain......quite enjoyable.......Pernia is the underrated spanish player....haha......and dennis tiong was soaking into the sm1B atmosphere with his nodding and twirling of head......hehe...

another maniacal referee

actually not so......Haha....the portugal and netherlands match is a total whack job.......but it was really fun to watch.....lost count of the number of yellow cards .....at one point of time I was kind of wishing to see red cards flying everywhere.....it was such a heated match and it ended 9 men aside with Maniche scoring the only goal.......it was actually really hilarious....it resembled those ice hockey match where punches were rolled.....there were many scuffles and I remembered some holland guy (Cocu i think) was pushed to the portugese bench because of some scuffling and the substitutes actually shoved him back.....Haha...so ice hockey style........

england truly had the last laugh of the day

Go Azzuris!!

Christina Aguilera - Ain't No Other Man

Watching her new video made me rekindle my love for her.....Haha....She is so CUTE....and that voice.....unmatachable...This is a real singer....not the wannabes....I almost fainted hearing Paris Hilton's song.......

Round 2

Watched the match yesterday with Italy and Czech Republic . Though not as exciting as other matches, I am glad that Italy proved her worth. The Italians almost looked formidable in their defence.....it is not everyday you get to score against the italians....Haha.....Buffon made several good saves and Cannavaro man checked every single attack by Milan Baros. Hehe...And they of course scored twice by Materrazi and Inzaghi.....2 subs.....a pity Totti is not at his very best......

Here we go against the Socceroos...I actually like them though......

lil' joke

Shortly after her wedding, the newlywed wife is complaining to her mother about her husband's insatiable sexual appetite.
"He wants to do it 15 times a day, anytime, anyplace, anywhere -- on the table, on the stairs, on the sofa, in the car, in the morning, in the afternoon, and in the evening. I can barely walk anymore!"

The mother advises her daughter to tell him that she has her period, which seems like a good idea.

So that evening, when the husband comes home from work, he proceeds to undress himself and his wife, when she stops him.

"I'm sorry sweetie, but it's that time of the month."

The husband gets up, looks at his wife, and says, "It's all good honey. I understand." He puts on a robe and walks away.

The wife is somewhat surprised at the mature reaction of her husband, until a few minutes later he returns holding two glasses and a bottle of champagne.

So she asks, "What's going on, dear?"

"We're celebrating!" he replies.

"Celebrating? What exactly are we celebrating?" she asks.

"Anal sex week!"

World Trade Center

Terrorism is a threat to everyone and it is just unfathomable to me that human beings would actually take innocent lives for something they believe in........

Drama drama

To be honest, the Italy-USA match was one of the more dramatic matches I have caught so far..........imagine this scenario......3 red cards, 3 yellow cards, one own goal, blood after an elbow, USA almost up 2-1 due to an offside goal which almost left me with angina pectoris, players getting stretchered off(Cannavaro and Perotta got kicked in the arse - looked really painful), last ten minutes of offence by Italy and defence by the USA......man....it was awesome.....hehe....would only be better if Italy could scrape a win.....darn..........

It thus leaves every team in the group in limbo really..........I don't know why but I am just damn passionate about Italy advancing......maybe because I am half Italian.....

the referee was a maniac...he started brandishing cards like within minutes into the game.......and it was really funny when the players started off being aggressive and then after all the cards they turned into a meek bunch, hesitant on even touching their opponents.....hehe....no wonder there are always death threats for referees

Ghana 2 Czech Republic 0

Alright first match down and it was a shocker of all shocks.....hehe.....Ghana impressed me with their ability to find space within the defence of the Czechs and also their ability to use the offside trap....It could have been more goals by the African nation not for Petr Cech with his amazing goalkeeping skills......now we only need Italy to win....Haha

Next match is up in an hour time...........

I want Pavel Nedved's hair.......lol......

Viva Espana

Caught the Spain and Ukraine match yesterday with my little secret RTM 1 channel....hehe....Gosh.....it was such a spectacular match for Spain......4-0....should have been 3-0 though cos of the bad decision the ref made awarding the spainiards the penalty....which there had not been much contact at all......Spain played with a lot of teamwork especially the last goal. It made my jaw dropped haha.....Fernando Torres is now my world cup hero at the moment.....spectacular display.....though he was the one who dived and earned Spain the penalty....

My 2 teams to look out for.....hehe.....

I always support the underdogs..... so no sambal kings nor the overrated Beckham and Co...

X-Men: The Last Stand

Alrighty.....finally I have caught the latest x men movie.....albeit a little disappointing because going in the movie I knew there was a change in the director....Bryan Singer went to direct Superman Returns because it was rumoured that Halle Berry wanted a meatier role but Singer didn't want to condone the superstar's request. And I knew once again it is going to be a Wolverine-Storm movie..... Not that I am complaining, it is an entertaining movie nonetheless but X men is supposed to be an ensemble type of movie. And by killing off people in a retarded manner is not justified...I mean Cyclops is a prime example.....Cyclops is like my childhood hero man......not Batman and not Superman but Cyclops.....
I grew up watching x men and you know having the hero you look up to die in a retarded and not a heroic fashion just pisses me off.....bah

To set the record straight.....Cyclops is the leader of the X men...not Hugh Jackman....not Halle Berry.......it is bad enough that Cyclops was being under developed in the first 2 movies but for him to just die in the first 15 minutes when they had the perfect chance to develop him especially when Jean Grey is turning into Phoenix. What a movie it could have been........Cyclops would have been the one in the last scene killing Phoenix if the movie is not a Hollywood setting.........

And again to set the record straight, the movie had totally downplayed the love Jean Grey and Cyclops have for each other.......omg......what a movie it could have been.......From what I gathered in the cartoons at least, Wolverine is always the third party between Cyclops and Jean Grey. I seriously feel that Wolverine is just being over and over and over for the past movies and it is hindering a lot of characters development....and plus the Halle Berry incident....gosh...totally ruined the whole movie for me...... Big ass disappointment.....

Huge ass disappointment

World Cup 2006

Hehe...though I am not a soccer fanatic, I always get kinda excited during the world cup fever.......maybe cos I have been watching soccer for quite a while and playing ps2 soccer games.......haha.....

This year I will still be supporting the stronghold of Italy.....I have been supporting them since the Roberto Baggio good old days when they probably had a better chance in winning than now.....Solid defence but a little weak in offence....maybe I should get an Italy jersey for the fun of it....haha.....

for once in my life

this has to be the most crazy and funny thing I had experienced.....I have just came back from that experience.

At 4.15pm, I was ready to leave my house to the emerge conference in church. And I had put on my levi's jeans and my abercrombie polo tee and choosing which shoe to put on. I chose a terribly pair of old shoes and I had clearly forgotten how worn down it was especially at the sole region.

I reached Aljunied MRT station and paid for my MRT fare and whilst inside the station, my left shoe suddenly crumbled and sort of like became out of form and I was cussing inside. Darn, it is impossible for me to move any further cos anymore steps will cause my shoe to flake off bits and pieces. So I decided to backtrack and while crossing the road to my home, the sole of my left shoe suddenly came off and now I can kinda see my little toes protected by my white sock. And within seconds my right shoe also gave way cos I must have placed a lot of pressure on my right to reduce the damage on my left.

Thankfully I managed to go back home without having to walk around with a pair of socks......but my socks are now black with tar and what not....
