Yesterday was a blast while we celebrated Erni's upcoming birthday in Acid Bar. I am really loving that place.....it is like the central park in FRIENDS for the 5 of us....though a little smoky thats all..... Michaela was as usual there serenading to all the requests and she is really mesmerising.....it is somewhat like a crush for me.....lol.....she has such range and acuity in her voice and everything about her seems so effortless......gosh....love it....
Dad and mom took an early flight to holiday in China and I am left alone with my bro and grams for a week......blah.....

it has been a while
since I blogged.........and I have nothing spectacular to mention except for the fact that Good Friday and Easter was during this weekend........A break that was needed from school after the first week which kinda seemed like it was a month. Thank God for that as well as 2000+ years ago He sent Jesus down to Earth and to take away our sins and our iniquities and to die for us........
Though there are times when I really whine and complain a lot, I know that I am a blessed person. I thank God for every single day may it be bad or good. I thank God for my family and friends and classmates around me. I thank God that I had the opportunity to receive the gift of salvation......
And my only wish for everyone is to take a step back to understand the holiday we had and also to experience what I had experienced and still am experiencing.....

I didn't know that I am an immortal
actually the first day of school was not too bad with really decent lectures on ethics by Professor Catherine Tay in the morning......she is one really funny woman....who studied dentistry, medicine, journalism for fun and did not complete them and is working as a lawyer currently....finally a decent lecture.....and came a note where dental 3rd year students are expected to attend a seminar at 1pm and 5.30pm.......when I read that note I was flabbergasted.......don't they know that we are taken up from 8 am to 5 pm except for a 1 hour lunch break at 1 pm?
I came to school with the intentions of skipping lunch and staying back after 5 pm to rush my dentures but it was my choice!
I mean I can't believe that they actually wanted us to attend a seminar during lunch time.....meaning in black and white if you did not have any breakfast like me, your earliest meal time will be at 5.00pm and you can only take a quickie and attend the seminar at 5.30pm.......this is just plain stupid...it is just basic common sense and logic.....you don't starve people.....even POWs have certain rights.....I refuse to play along with this nonsense......this is just retarded...

my alma mater
In life you go through institutions after institutions to get the education you need to be ready for the outside world. Some opt to go to the polytechnic route while others brave the college route and sometimes they might meet each other in the university......Singapore has come a long way in education....from the limited to the many choices now.
It used to be Primary --> Secondary ---> JC ----> University or Primary ---> Secondary --->Polytechnic. That was basically it but now there are so many choices you can take....One choice I regret was that I didn't even gave overseas education a thought. It was Singapore till the end and it is now biting me in the bum right now...... I personally think that the Singapore's education is really good but there are some really major flaws......those that are pretty obvious to anyone......
Talking about my alma mater......I loved the times in SAJC......the times where even though I was kinda stretched but still I had fun.....(I always thought that A levels are not easy actually....lol). Now I am just stretched but not having fun.....To those who are out there saying that university is easy than A levels.........next time please add a disclaimer like except for certain faculty like you know what....of course there is some truth to that statement......but my friend gave me that advice and I just took it for granted....darn...
Anyway....this year's batch of miss universe is really special for me......the girls are actually pretty decent compared to the past years....and there are 2 SAJCians in the top 18......they were actually from my batch.....one of them is a friend of mine called Yifei.....the short hair spunky girl....who is best known as the one in the dove commercial while the other one is Genecia....I didn't even noticed her in the previews until Bran said that she looked familiar.....I don't think she used Genecia in college but who cares....lol....anyway she got the second runner up and she basically the front horse in the swimsuit and evening gown section......pretty decent man....and her swimsuit section was actually jaw dropping cos I didn't remembered her to be that way....lol.......
anyway Genecia....if you are reading this, please drop me a note ya..to your fellow schoolmate....I am impressed....I might be able to give you some Q & A tuition though...lol...

In today's Sunday Times, there is a section on the prevalence of swearing and they had a survey done on 100 ppl and 67% said that they have sweared once before while 33% said that they have never done anything like that before. To the 33%, you are a bunch of terrible liars.
Its not like I am the king of swearer but 33% is just ridiculous. And I was surprised at the list of the so called swear words.....obviously the F-bomb is one of them. They have shit, damn, asshole etc. All along I always thought the above 3 are not exactly swear words cos they seem pretty mild.....well it goes to show how much I know about swearing.....so based on this article, I have been swearing for the past 24 years of my life despite being a christian......what gives.....lol
Anyway, is ass a swear word since asshole is one? Maybe its half a swear word then.....

I have got so much to say yet I find it so hard to blog....I think it is more of laziness for me......... School has not started for me yet but it is pissing the hell out of me.....all the patients scouring, splitting of clinical sessions etc are just killing the last week of my holidays....
I am just too lazy and angry to blog......everything could be solved if people just have the decency to do what they are suppossed to be doing and be considerate enough to give us time to plan our schedule....

anticipation
well a couple more days and will be back to my melancholic, depressed, the whole world is against me mood....cos school is reopening after a 3 week hiatus.... Never in my life I hated school this badly....actually I used to like the first day of school cos it is just so refeshing to see my friends etc.....not that my friends in dental school are boring people....just that the environment in school kinda overrides everything....and everyone is really just focus on school work and even though sometimes we spend more than 12 hours together, words are hardly exchanged......I seriously hate school.....its just undescribable....And also I am not being negative....there is simply nothing good about going back to school nowadays....
Alright.....enough of that....uploading some pictures....to brighten up my blog....
