brokeback mountain
The new film from Academy Award-nominated director Ang Lee. An epic love story set against the sweeping vistas of Wyoming and Texas, Brokeback Mountain tells the story of two young men - a ranch-hand and a rodeo cowboy - who meet in the summer of 1963, and unexpectedly forge a lifelong connection, one whose complications, joys and tragedies provide a testament to the endurance and power of love.
I would really want to watch this movie not for any other reason(I just know some people will start thinking the other way) but the fact that through the trailers, it seems so genuine and also simply because it was the outright biggest winner in the golden globes. And I am just a sucker for controversial movies. But would the movie reach Singapore in its pure form. That I wouldn't know......but I seriously think it is worth the watch......amd I was so happy for Ang Lee for his best director award.....kick ass ...
